"I'm dying to see how my custom order is coming along!"
"What the heck are you working on now, hmm?"
Well, you're in the right spot!
Paintjobs don't happen here overnight, as opposed to an assembly line approach, and my main medium of oil paint dries slowly. I treat each piece as an individual, and let them develop with the countless hours I put into them. You won't be getting a McHorse- The quality shows!
The best things in life take time, right?
This exceedingly handsome fellow is being the typical dun of Kiger Mustangs, which turns out to be very difficult with my methods! LOL!
His legs are really tough to paint like our reference picture, but I'm doing a more "grainy" look that has some of the hairs visible to blend the different colors together. There is such variation, I think it will look really cool when finished.
This Duke is on his way to becoming a "golden boy" of the dressage and halter arenas! He'll be a luscious palomino, with a hint of healthy dappling.
Is he the James Dean of drafters or WHAT?
He's in progress to become a lovely liver chestnut like a stallion Sarah visited on a PMU ranch. Very handsome, and her photography to work from is top notch!

She's hard to photograph with that baby belly! Argh!.
PS Trotting Drafter-Detailing
He was a damaged "Veronica's Vodka" SR Stone, but that "fantasy grey" is being changed into one that is seen in nature and with lots of great hairy detail! Fun!
